We would be remiss in not recognizing the people who have helped us along the way:

To Mal Towne Merrill for breeding “Chessea” who started it all for us.

To Nathaniel Horn for his advice and mentoring.

To Barbara Krystzofik who has been an unselfish mentor and wonderful friend.

To Isabella Rotman, our friend and neighbor; a high school student who has been an invaluable asset in helping us raise our pups. She has given unselfishly of her time and has been such a huge help to us. Izzy is a talented photographer and has taken some beautiful photos of the pups, some of which you will see in the photo gallery. A huge thank you to Izzy.

To Jane and Ron Peabody of Safe Harbor Rescue for setting the standard of commitment to the breed.

To Chuck and Claudia Vaigl for breeding Breaker. They’re always there on the sidelines cheering for him. They share our sense of pride in Breaker with us (as all good breeder’s do.) Anytime we ask for their advice or have a question, they are giving of their time and knowledge.

To Betsy Horn Humer for breeding Aria and choosing her for us. Betsy has also been a wonderful mentor to us. We are proud of our association with Eastern Waters’ Chesapeakes and deeply grateful for Betsy’s guidance.

To Sue and Bill Burrell of Burrell Handling for the exceptional work they have done with our dogs.  They have done it all for us without hesitation.  They have done much more than just show our dogs in the ring --   from helping us with breedings, whelping litters, training for show and obedience, temperament testing, puppy evaluation and just plain putting up with us somedays.  Anything we have asked of them, they willingly take on and we can't thank them enough for their fine work and friendship.

We appreciate all of our “Chessie” friends who have generously given of themselves!
